Andy and I went and talked to our bank this Saturday and...they didn't laugh at us. In fact, Andy and I have pretty decent credit and were pre-approved for a house loan. Next we are going to talk to his cousin to see if he can offer us anything different, but unltimatley it sounds like this house buying thing might just happen. Gulp.
The areas we are looking at are; Beacon Hill, West Seattle, Des Moines, South Park, and Renton. We definitely go approved for a "starter home," but we really don't need much more than that. I just want a yard and some walls I can paint. I would also like to not have to deal with the annoying neighbor kids that hang out in our parking lot.
My goal is to not let this process stress me out more than it normally should. I am going to enjoy buying our first home and really try to understand what we are getting ourselves in to. So here's to exciting times ahead!

Holy crap, Carly! That is very exciting and a little envy inducing. I'm glad it's working out. *knock wood* Is this the step that makes one a real grown up?
