Team Autumn

Yesterday was the first day of autumn, which happens to be my favorite time of year! Take that all other seasons! Autumn rocks!
 
 

 

I have been thinking a lot about what I want to accomplish this autumn. I have come up with a list (because we all know how much I love a good list).

• Go to a corn maze
• Make pumpkin bread. Maybe I can talk my friend Stephanie into letting me try her award winning pumpkin bread recipe
• Have a pumpkin carving/Donnie Darko viewing party
• Take an anniversary trip to Port Townsend, WA. Andy and I have almost been married a year, and it has been one hell of a year. To celebrate he and I are splurging and staying in a nice old hotel in Port Townsend for the weekend. We hope to do a lot of shopping, eating, geo-caching, giggling, picture taking, and general merry making.
• Go to Issaquah Salmon Days. This has become a family tradition of sorts, but this year no one will be in town that weekend except me.
• Take some pretty autumn pictures
• Take a fall hike

 

On a different subject, a few weeks ago, my friend Monica sent me a link for free museum tickets. I decided that checking out the Museum of Flight might be kinda cool. So tomorrow Andy and I are going to spend some time learning about aviation. I know Andy will enjoy it, but tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day and I think it is going to kill him to not be fishing. :)
