Summer List Revisted

Dear Blog,

Today is the first day of fall quarter here at the wonderful university where I work which officially means summer is over. Let's take a look at my summer goal list to see what I managed to accomplish.

The Summer List
1. Read 5 books: Sadly I did not even finish one book over the summer

2. Learn how to fly fish (this will make Andy very happy): This was sorta accomplished. I did fly fish a bit on Fan Creek in Yellowstone. Though I am pretty sure it wasn't real fly fishing because I just threw the fly in the water and let the current carry it down stream. Even better though, I really had to go the bathroom and I couldn't hold it anymore, so I went pee outside! First time I have done this since I was probably 7 years old.

3. Play volleyball: Barely made this goal. I played volleyball last Wednesday.

4. Play catch: Nope :(

5. Attend a farmer's market I haven't been to before: Nope :(

6. An easy easy hike: Wallace and Twin Falls. Both were beautiful hikes. I am actually looking forward to doing some fall and early winter hikes soon.

7. Paint our night stands: Nope :(

8. During the month of August, drive no more than 5 times to work: Nope :(

9. Road trip to Denver: It was great! Next summer we are planning on going back to Montana and I can't wait to visit Denver again.

10. BBQ a whole lot: I cheated with this goal because it is so arbitrary.  But I am going to take what I can get. I think I BBQ'd the proper amount this summer.

Maybe I didn't accomplish as much as I orginally wanted to, but all in all this was a great summer. Now we are on to my favorite time of year (goal list to come shortly).
