And Just Like That...

our lives are somewhat back to normal.

The doctor is confident that the cancer was removed during Andy's surgery because nothing showed up in the scans they took of his body. There is a good chance that Andy could have micro-tumors that are too small to be picked up on the scan and because of this, Andy decided to go ahead a have a round of radiation therapy done. He meets with the doctor next week to start the process of that, but it looks like the worst is behind us. We did get news last Friday that Andy's work is switching their insurance provider, so that may cause some problems, but Andy is still going through with the radiation.

This past month in a half has been crazy, but it has made me realize how lucky we are. Our friends and family have been amazing through this whole ordeal. The people I work with have been supportive and understanding and the whole situation has made me realize that I have a lot to be thankful for. And while it was a hard way to learn this lesson, that is what this time of year is supposed to be about.
