Today while I was waiting for my bus, I saw a car hit a racoon. What bothered me the most is that whoever was driving the car didn't even slow down, they just kept on driving like they had run over a plastic bag and not a living animal. I know there is not much you can do, but to not even tap your brakes, just seems extra heartless.
What made it worse was the eventually, the racoon got up and dragged itself to the side of the road under some bushes. I felt so helpless, I wanted to do more, but I didn't know what to do.
What a way to start a week.
