If your body matches what your eyes can do

On Saturday, Andy and I woke up early to venture down to Tacoma. I have been feeling like he and I don't spend enough time together. I mean, sure we live together, but most often that means we watch tv and sleep together. We seldom have time where we are doing stuff just the two of us. When we first started dating we really tried to make time for each other because everything was so new and exciting, but as is natural with most relationships, soon we fell into this pattern of only seeing each other when we really had to. Sometimes I have this feeling like we have forgotten how to spend time together. Most of the time we feel like we need to invite someone with us or we are not being good friends.

So this weekend, completely on our own, we went to the Washington State History Museum because it is something that we have talked about doing for a while. It was fun and good to feel like we were experiencing what this area has to offer. Tacoma is trying very hard to revitalize the community and it was nice to see the changes that have happened down there.

Who knows when we will be able to do this again, but at least for one day we made the effort to be a couple and I feel like that breathed a little bit of excitement back into us.
