Beyonce brought us closer together

So, Beyonce's song Halo, unfortunately sums up exactly how I feel about Andy. I say unfortunately because generally I don’t want the song that makes me all weepy-eyed about my husband to be something that is played about a million times every hour on the radio, on top of it, Andy isn’t much of a Beyonce fan. With that said, I wouldn’t consider this “our” song either. That distinction would either go to “You’re my Best Friend” by Queen, “Flesh and Blood” by Johnny Cash or “And I Love Her” by the Beatles.

So last night I finally decided to play Beyonce’s song for Andy. I put it on the radio and let me know that this song is exactly how I think about him and what he means to me. He expected some sort of song that was mocking him so I think he was taken by surprise that 1) it was a Beyonce song and 2) that it was actually saying something nice about him. Which on a related topic, as made me realize that maybe I don’t say enough nice things about him, so that is something for future Carly to work on.
