Recap

Wow, I haven’t written a blog in a while. I meant to write a “2011 recap” blog, but never got around to it. It seems a little silly to do it now. However, maybe a “2011 in Review” paragraph will do the trick.

2011 was quite a year for me. I travelled internationally for the first time, bought a house, celebrated 2 years of being married, and lost a person I loved more than anything in this world. I applied for my dream job and got further in the hiring process then I expected. This helped me to realize that I am not as unqualified as I thought I was. My friends had babies and many more announced that they soon would be having babies. I got used to being an “aunt.” I am now more comfortable holding babies and they don’t cry as much when they are around me. I took a stand in some relationships in my life and rose above the drama that was associated with them.

I can say that at the end of 2011 and going into 2012 I am happy, and that seems like a nice way to start and end a year.
