Hobby Blues

I have learned to crochet. See...
And while I have progressed past the "making scarves" phase of my new found craft to other simple things, I am running out of simple things to make. How many pairs of fingerless gloves does one girl need? I can tell you the answer is not 4 pairs. I would start making things for other people, however I don't feel that my talents should be shared with my loved ones just yet. So then I think...maybe I can make useful household items, but honestly I don't need these either. I have made two pot-holders and a couple of dish rags. I am trying to make a blanket for my sister, but let's be honest, a blanket is really just a glorified scarf. I have a couple close friends who are having babies soon, so I could make something for them, but the idea of making a garment type thing scares me. I am also unsure what yarns to use for certain projects. Right now I am more of a "Wow...this is beautiful yarn!" yarn buyer. So currently this means that I have a good amount of beautiful yarns, but no real project to go with it. I have been looking online for things to make, but I always talk myself out of it. Why am I so negative? Ugh.
